What to Know Before You Go

About Our Pilgrimages

For those of you who have never been to Medjugorje, you will experience one of the most spiritual, and peaceful places on earth. One of the best descriptions of Medjugorje we have ever heard is: "Medjugorje is a place where Heaven touches the earth". After visiting Medjugorje we are sure you will agree.

Why go with us? Together we have taken almost 10,000 pilgrims to Medjugorje since 1983. We specialize in small groups so each pilgrimage will be a special and personal experience. We use expert licensed local guides that are with you every day of your pilgrimage. And while we have a full schedule planned, you still have personal time, which is so important on a pilgrimage.

We will take the worry out of traveling and allow you to relax and focus on what Jesus and Our Lady have planned for you. This pilgrimage is your pilgrimage and a journey with Our Lady and we are here to do our absolute best to show you the Medjugorje that we know and love.

The visionaries in Medjugorje tell us that no one goes to Medjugorje by accident. We are called individually by Our Lady. What an awesome thought! If you feel called to go to Medjugorje then answer Our Lady's invitation! Traveling to Medjugorje is truly a life changing experience, and one that you will remember for the rest of your life!

Next, we will travel to the town of Malinska, on Krk Island, in the northern Adriatic Sea of Croatia, where you will attend a 3 day retreat with Fr. Zlatko Sudac, a Croatian stigmatist priest, whose stigmata is in the form of a cross on his forehead and the wounds of Christ on his body. Fr. Sudac received the cross on his forehead in May 1999, 11 months after his ordination, and the rest of the wounds in October 2000. As anyone who has ever encountered Fr. Sudac can attest, an encounter with him is a powerful and life-changing experience. Though he has many gifts of the Holy Spirit, one of his greatest gifts is the gift of preaching, through which it is always his intention to lead souls deeper into the heart of Christ and the Church. Finally, pilgrims will end their journey with an overnight stay in the capital city, Zagreb, where you will experience the beginning of Christmas celebrations in Croatia by exploring the sights, sounds and scents of Croatia’s most famous Christmas market, taking place just steps away from our hotel in the main square of the city. As you meander from stall to stall exploring all that the Christmas market has to offer and as you try new and festive foods and beverages, you will receive a new understanding of Croatian culture and its people. This will be a wonderful, relaxing and festive way to end this powerful pilgrimage journey in Croatia.

* Sample Day by Day Itineray. Actual Itinerary Can Vary.

Day 1: US - Frankfurt
Board your overnight transatlantic flights from your nearest international airport. Meals are served on board.

Day 2: Split - Medjugorje
Upon arrival in Split, you will be greeted by our local guide, Snjezana Zovko, who will then take you on a 2.5 hour ride by private motorcoach to the village of Medjugorje. Once there, you will be introduced to Mirjana Dragicevic-Soldo, one of the Medjugorje visionaries that sees Our Lady on the 2nd of each month. You will be staying in her home for the next seven nights.

Day 3-7: Medjugorje
The beauty of this simple village is enhanced by the opportunity to share your faith with thousands of pilgrims from all over the world. Our local guide Snjezana will accompany you throughout the week, and will help plan your daily activities. Each evening at dinner, the schedule for the following day will be posted in the dining room. Just some of the activities you will enjoy throughout the week are:

English Mass each morning at 10am at St James Church. On Feast days and Sundays English Mass is at Noon. At 6pm each evening we will join local villagers and pilgrims to pray the Joyful and Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary. Be present in the church during the time of the apparitions at 6:40pm (5:40pm Sep 10-May 1) (although the visionaries are not present) and then stay for Croatian Mass and the Blessing of the Sick. On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays there is Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and on Fridays Veneration of the Cross in the church.

You will follow the same path up Apparition Hill where the young visionaries first encountered Our Lady, and pray at the statue which commemorates the spot where Our Lady first appeared to the visionaries. You will also visit and pray at "Blue Cross", which is a very special place at the base of Apparition Hill where the visionaries would meet in the early days of the apparitions to avoid the Communist police. You will have the opportunity to climb Mt. Krizevac (Cross Mountain), where in 1933 the villagers built a 29' high cross on the anniversary of Jesus' crucifixion. This Cross contains a relic from the True Cross of Christ given to the villagers by the Pope.

Depending upon schedule and availability, our local guide will arrange meetings with the local priests and visionaries as well as the community of Cenacolo.

Day 8: Early morning departure from Medjugorje
For the 6-7 hour drive to Krk Island. We will stop for lunch somewhere on the drive, and then arrive at the hotel in the afternoon. Retreat with Fr. Sudac begins at 5:00 pm, with introductory talk and Holy Mass, followed by dinner.

Day 9: Retreat day
Talks by Fr. Sudac, healing and deliverance prayers, Holy Mass. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 10-11: Morning session with Fr. Sudac
Followed by Holy Mass. Retreat concludes with lunch. After lunch, drive 2-3 hours to Zagreb, check into hotel for two nights in Zagreb. Explore Zagreb’s main Christmas market, located just feet away from our hotel. Dinner at hotel. Day 11; Meeting with Father Svetozar and/or Father Jozo if available. Zagreb is the Capital of Croatia. If Father's are not available then we will tour the upper and lower town of this beautiful city on our own. We are also within walking distance of the Zagreb Cathedral, the famous St. Mark's church and square.

Day 12: Mid-morning departure for Zagreb airport
Taking home with us wonderful memories of our journey with Our Lady in Medjugorje and Fr. Zlatko Sudac from his retreat.

About Medjugorje

Since 1981, in a small village in Bosnia-Hercegovina named Medjugorje, the Blessed Virgin Mary has been appearing and giving messages to the world. She tells us that God has sent Her to our world, and these years she is spending with us are a time of Grace granted by God. In Her own words She tells us, "I have come to tell the world that God exists. He is the fullness of life, and to enjoy this fullness and peace, you must return to God".

Our Lady continues to give messages to six people from the village of Medjugorje: Ivan, Jakov, Marija, Mirjana, Vicka, and Ivanka. These six people (referred to as "visionaries") have received apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary since June 24, 1981. In addition to Her public messages, Our Lady is to give each of the six visionaries a total of ten "secrets" or happenings that will occur on earth in the near future. Some of the secrets pertain to the whole world while others concern the visionaries themselves or the local village. Only one of the secrets has so far been revealed by the visionaries. In the third secret Our Lady has promised to leave a supernatural, indestructible, and visible sign on the mountain where she first appeared. Our Lady said: "This sign will be given for the atheists. You faithful already have signs and you have become the sign for the atheists. You faithful must not wait for the sign before you convert; convert soon. This time is a time of grace for you. You can never thank God enough for His grace. The time is for deepening your faith, and for your conversion. When the sign comes, it will be too late for many."
