Our Lady's Statue on Apparition Hill Repaired

Our Lady's statue on Apparition Hill, which was damaged in the night from August 28/29 by an unknown person, has been repaired thanks to a rapid intervention of the Atelier Dino and Mirko Felici from Carrara (Italy).

There are two statues of the Queen of Peace in Medjugorje, both sculptured by the same atelier.

The first statue, which has become a symbol of Medjugorje, was placed on the square in front of the church in 1987. The statue on Apparition Hill is a gift of Korean pilgrims for the 20th anniversary of the apparitions.
