Special Low Cost Super Saver Pilgrimages
To Medjugorje 2009

We understand the struggles that many people are experiencing in this economy. As a result of these struggles, more people than ever are feeling called to visit Medjugorje; a place of peace and grace.

But for many the cost of a pilgrimage is simply too high. So we have put together some special pilgrimages with an amazingly low price. How low? In some cases over $1000 less than a regular pilgrimage to Medjugorje. How did we do it? We are working with some special super low fare flights. This allows us to offer our same high quality pilgrimage at an amazingly low cost.

As an example, the total cost of a trip from JFK for Sep would cost about: $1849 including all taxes, and even an overnight in Dublin on the return to the US ! The cost is dependent upon when you sign up. Inside 60 days of departure or if the flights are almost full, the cost of the flights increase. So sign up early!

To keep the cost of these trips as low as possible Ana and I do not travel with the group. We are also not able to send a priest with the group, but there are always English speaking priests in Medjugorje. Our local guide Snjezana will be with the group each day and provide our normal full program of events in Medjugorje.

For those who have never been to Medjugorje, you will experience one of the most spiritual, and peaceful places on earth. One of the best descriptions of Medjugorje we have ever heard is: "Medjugorje is a place where Heaven touches the earth". After visiting Medjugorje we are sure you will agree.

We have arranged for excellent accommodations at Vicka's oldest sister, Mirjana Brecic's home in Medjugorje, where all our groups stay. We believe it is important to stay with a family that truly lives Our Lady's messages. The house is set up as a bed and breakfast and each room has its own bathroom.

The visionaries in Medjugorje tell us that no one goes to Medjugorje by accident. We are called individually by Our Lady. What an awesome thought! If you feel called to go to Medjugorje then answer Our Lady's invitation! Traveling to Medjugorje is truly a life changing experience!

MIR!
Steve and Ana Shawl

Sample Itinerary:

Day 1 - USA/Dublin
Depart the United States for your overnight flight to Dublin. Dinner and breakfast are served on board.

Day 2 - Dublin/Dubrovnik/Medjugorje
Upon early morning arrival in Dublin you will connect with your flight to Dubrovnik. Upon arrival, you will be greeted outside baggage claim by our local guide who will then accompany you on your ride to Medjugorje by private motorcoach. Once there, you will be introduced to our host family, Mirjana Brecic, where we will be staying for the next seven nights.

Days 3-8 Medjugorje
The beauty of this simple village is enhanced by the opportunity to share our faith with thousands of pilgrims from all over the world. Ana will accompany you throughout the week, and help plan your daily activities. Each evening at dinner she will post a schedule for the following day on our dining room door. Just some of the activities you will do throughout the week are:

Each morning at 10am we assemble at St James Church for the English-language Mass. Feast days and Sundays English Mass is at Noon.

We will follow the same path up Apparition Hill where the young visionaries first encountered Our Lady. Pray before the statue which commemorates the spot where Our Lady first appeared to the visionaries. We will also visit and pray at "Blue Cross", which is a very special place at the base of Apparition Hill.

If available, we will join Ivan for his public prayer group apparition at Blue Cross or at the top of Apparition Hill

At 5pm each evening (6pm daylight savings time) we will join the villagers and pilgrims to pray the rosary. Be present in the church during the time of the apparitions at 5:40pm (6:40 daylight savings time) (although the visionaries are not present) and then stay for the Croatian Mass and the Blessing of the Sick. Thursdays and Saturdays there is Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and on Fridays Veneration of the Cross in the church.

Depending upon schedule and availability, our local guide will arrange meetings with the visionaries at their own homes. We will also visit the beautiful adoration chapel of the Oasis of Peace, and the drug rehab center Cenacolo.

We will have the opportunity to climb Krizevac Mountain, where in 1933 the villagers built a 30' high cross on the anniversary of Jesus' crucifixion. This Cross contains a relic from the actual Cross of Christ given to the villagers by the Pope.

Fr. Jozo is on a yearlong sabatical so is not speaking to pilgrims.

Day 9/10 - Medjugorje/Dubrovnik/Dublin/USA
The group will spend the day in the beautiful 7th century walled city of Dubrovnik, considered by many to be the most beautiful old city in Europe. The group will then take an evening flight to Dublin and overnight at a hotel near the airport. The next morning everyone will fly back to the US to complete the pilgrimage.

Once we receive your passport name(s), and departure city, and request your flight schedule we will know your exact routing details and airline. Flights are very full all year long due to airlines cutting back on service so if you would like to join us on any of these trips please contact us as soon as possible.
